I’m having a “Dead Broke” Halloween party!
I really wanted to have a Halloween party this year but with the slow economy and husband pay cut, How could I have a fun, creative and budget friendly party? Sooooooo we are having a
“Dead Broke” Halloweens party!
We are inviting our friends to a BYOB and also asking them to bring a snack to share. I stated decorating last weekend and I’m having a ball recycling all my Halloween decorations. I collect orange glass year round and I just added bright Orange lights to two of the hutch and topped it off with a Jack-O-Lantern and some vintage black cat bookends. The Fireplace mantel is not finished the skeleton still needs a bug to feed her giant spider. I’ll take some more photos as I get ready for the party.
I’m getting sooo excited!

My Donation to the Noyes Home "Take a seat " Auction
I found this great old white chair at a yard sale this spring and knew I was going to use it for the “Take A Seat” Benefit auction for the Noyes Home Children. I just finished it up and named it
“Halloween Ghosts.” I will drop it off tomorrow and it will be on display at East Hills Mall in Saint Joseph, MO beginning September 21st. The live auction will be Friday, October 16th at Saint Francis Xavier Parish Center . . . I hope the Take a seat auction brings a lot of NEEDED funds to the Children of the Noyes home!
The Noyes home for children is a private, non-profit organization. The Noyes Home provides a home for children when parents are unable to care for them. Each child is guaranteed the basics of food, shelter, and safety, but beyond the basics needs, the caring staff provides guidance in coping skills and making life choices. These children have endured difficult times in their young lives through no fault of their own. The Noyes Homes has been here for 115 years to provide the safe and loving environment that these children deserve.
