October 2009 American Minaturist Magazine!

I'm SOOOOO Excited! I will be in the American Miniaturist Magazine October 2009, in the feature "Meet the Maker"...also I have donated a very special doll for the magazine to giveaway.

This weeks eBay Miniature is The Sea Witch...she starts tonight and ends Monday August 31st.

The Sea Witch

Sea witches were believed to be able to control the wind. One method was with the use of three knots tied into a handkerchief. When the three knots were tied in the magical way, the wind was caught up in them. Witches sold these magic knots to sailors to help them with their sea voyages.

Vampire Candelabra...Hand sculpted Vampires

"In paratus of nox noctis" - meaning "In preparation of the night"


I found this wonderful vintage Candelabra last year and turned it into a Vampire Candelabra!

I have designed five vampires hanging from the candelabra, two are sleeping in their bat wings cocoons, two are holding candles and the head Vampire is showing his fangs and holding a miniature candelabrum. The vampires are 6-8" long and hang from a small vintage candelabra crystal. They can be remove and used in other decor. The vintage Candelabra is an old pot metal with fading gold paint . . . it’s very ornate and has a wonderful old world vampire look. It is 27" tall and 18 ½" wide, and it comes with five new 12" black candles. The weight is 15# soooo no free shipping on this piece. I really enjoyed creating this piece . . . I really love Vampires

Works in progress & not enough time in the day

I will be late with my Spookytimejingels Halloween creations.

I have been spending a lot of my time at community meetings for our challenged neighborhood
We are making great positive progress and hope to start up a “Neighborhood pride” program. I’m also on the board of the Puppetry Arts Institute . . . I create all the museum displays at the end on the month AND This year I have taken on the Cities “Trail West “ festival and volunteered to decorate the ground . . . that is happening next week AGHHHHHHH!!!

I have been working on a large piece that should be finished this weekend and posted on eBay. I also purchased a really cool old dollhouse I will spook up and sell probably in September. I hope to have very exciting news soon about a magazine publication . . . I’ll keep you posted on its publication date. I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

Zombie Freaky Fedora Hat for your Thriller Party

Zombie Freaky Fedora Hat wearable art.

I created this freaky Fedora hat for Halloween 2009 . . . there will probably be a lot of Halloween “Thriller” Theme parties in celebration of the 25th anniversary of “thriller.” The Fedora hat is vintage and has never been worn it still has the store tags on it. I Hand sculpted and painted a creepy Zombie coming out of the Fedora and spooked the hat up with gray fabric paint.
I hope to post a new freaky Fedora hat every Friday!
